China Ambassador to Tonga Mr. Liu Weimin visit Tonga Fire & Emergency Services

On May 10, 2024, Commissioner Tu'ihalamaka was honored to host His Excellency Liu Weimin, the Ambassador from China to Tonga, at the Tofoa Head Office to discuss mutual perspectives on disaster relief and capacity within Tonga Fire and Emergency Services as well as the Emergency Response sector. The Commissioner and His Excellency explored opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing between their organizations. Both parties recognized the importance of strengthening response capabilities and supporting impacted communities. Commissioner Tu'ihalamaka expressed appreciation for His Excellency's visit and insights on international best practices.
